Story of a Poet: #28. ~Let the darkness prevail~

Waking up from sleep
Amidst the darkest hours of the night
Always gave a disguise feeling
Of what could have been lost
Has lost completely in me off-coast.
With that there can be no more of that
Innocence of sleep.
Instead all those ‘ifs’ and ‘whys’
Leave me shaken
For hours into disgust
In this most promising life.

Darkness is prevailing in this lone room
Even when the sun is high.
I’ve lived alone like it before
But now is the time
When it feels like I’m bounded
By the walls on a roundabout in
Disclaimer of many such things.
Moreover its a brand new place
And of replenishing happiness.

Don’t have anyone to talk,
No one to text,
No phone calls.
I’ve been learning to live;
Like it from quite some time.
So Letting the sun sink deep
And the moon in a bleak,
Let the darkness prevail!
