Andaaz e Bayaan #4. Uss roz jab uthega woh

Someone asked me, “How are you so romantic? You must have been in love for long and hard. Isn’t it?”
I smiled and said, “No,  but I have been loved a lot. And for long and hard.“

I wrote this one imagining how a couple would be feeling on the day of their marriage. I am imagining a lot these days about marriages. More posts coming in.

Uss roz jab uthega woh bistar se
Kadam takrayenge arsh se uske

Kabhi sochta tha main ke
Shikwa, Na koii gila kare
Fakat mere liye wo jiya kare
Mere jeene ki woh wajeh bane
Koii aisa shakhs bhi hua kare
Main rokun usay aur woh mujhe pyaar kare

Sach ho aaya haii sapna ye aaj mera
Ab chaahat nahi ke mujhe kuchh aur mile
Raat jo chaand dekha tha sitaaron ke darmiyaan
Utar aaya haii zameen pe wo paas mere

Deedaar mera pehla ho_iss shart pe
Hua hoga taiyyar_woh taiyyar hone ke liye
Sir jhuka ke woh bhi toh sochta hoga
Kya mere liye woh_issi tarah bekaraar hoga

Bass chand lamhon ke baad aansu chhalak aayenge
Aankhein hongi band aur wo paas mujhe paayenge
Mujhse guftagu kar ke woh bhi toh sharmaayenge
Phir palkein utha ke woh zara itraayenge

Jab uthega rukh se parda unke
Toh kahengi unki saheliyan unse
Aaj toh bade betaab honge aapke hone wale
Toh sharma ke kahengi wo aahista se
Ab toh sirf rasm baaqi haii
Wo meri kismat mein_Rab ki zubaani haii

Phir jab hoga saamna unka aaine se
Toh aaine se bhi raha na jaayega
Keh dega shaan se woh dil ki baat mere
Aaj toh be’maut marenge tujhpe marne wale

Note: Don’t ask me if I’m in love or if I’m heart-broken by the kind of words that I write; because sometimes I write about feelings I have never felt before.
And no, I’m not getting married.
