Story of a Poet #43. ~Sins. Severe or Saviour?~

There is a lot to wonder about this life than just opening and closing of the eyes.
I am trying to bring an excerpt of it through this acoustic poem.
But, remember I am not perfect.
And so ain’t you.

There was uncertainty among the clouds
In bringing the downpour
Or let the tears bear witness
And the eyes turn sour

The corruption within our hearts
Counts even the sins we commit
The goodness in a few surmounts
To the best of a return_to delimit

Sometimes I wonder to my surprise
If being a human is that easy a dare

What if there was a saviour
And there was a naught to never
What if the ill-fated remained
And there was an eternity to forever
What if people always disguised
And nothing stopped them ever
What if there was no God
But the race in us so clever

Nothing good would remain aloof
Nowhere on earth will relish a care

Such is a life we live and worry not
For the stupidity of one could dissolve us all
Knowing the ship asks not when it sinks
Cares not where the good and the bad fall
